good point 'Monsters' will go really well, 'Three Dimensions' should be up there too. 'Twenty Years' will probably even be in there. Powderfinger will probably win again

My prediction for the Hottest 100 would be something of novelty value so probably that Alien Ant Farm song Smooth Criminal, not a huge fan of it myself though

hmm, i think that will come in at around third myself. like that fricking 'heaven is a halfpipe song'. same sort of thing, and that came in at 3rd this year didnt it? Nah Heaven is a Halfpipe was about 69 (that's a wild stab in the dark)... I hate that song. Last year's top 5: 5. Coldplay - Yellow 4. Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag (never got sick of it, because I never liked it to begin with) :P3. Powderfinger - Not My Kinda Scene 2. U2 - Beautiful Day 1. Powderfinger - My Happiness My top 10 prediction for this year - not to say I like all these songs: 1. Something for Kate - Monsters 2. Weezer - Island In The Sun 3. Alien Antfarm - Smooth Criminal 4. Gorillaz - 19/2000 5. Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood 6. Alex Lloyd - Amazing 7. System of a Down - Chop Suey 8. Cake - Short Skirt Long Jacket 9. Radiohead - Optimistic 10. Powderfinger - The Metre I reckon the Finger only released The Metre to have a go at 3 in a row, I mean if they pull it off it will be hilarious but it's not as good as their others. I think Monsters will do the best of the SFK songs and I put it at 1 for sentiment... you could re-arrange that top 10 any way you like and get it looking moderately realistic. The only true JJJ song in there is Optimistic but that's the way it always is, last year Frontier Psychiatrist and the rest were flogged to death on other stations. I wonder if they'll stuff up and put last year's songs on this year's list? They did that last time and three songs made it into two H100s. Pissed me off cause I'm a perfectionist.

oh, i meant teenage dirtbag, not heaven is a halfpipe. same diff though. they flogged them both to death, and i ended up hating them all.
i will die if the metre gets #1. please no. its good, but not #1 material.
and oh god, about the whole 'some songs going in 2 years in a row thing' - that shits me beyond belief. haha, im such a perfectionist too. like dont call me baby got in twice i think. ugh.

I'm the Eddie McGuire of the Hottest 100, i have all the stats. The three songs were Mutha Fukka on a Motorcycle, Thank You and No Leaf Clover.
What pissed me off just as much was how songs were left off the voting list. I mean I know you can do write-in votes but seeing it on the list prompts the memory and when you're voting for 50 songs like I do then you start to forget songs. But here's just four songs that got snubbed and would have made it otherwise (in my opinion).
SFK- The Astronaut Limp Bizkit- Break Stuff Limp Bizkit- Re-arranged (Wow Limp Bizkit got shafted!) Millencolin- Fox (that was potential top 20, better than Penguins and Polarbears!)
And don't get me started on Queens of the Stone Age being on the CD but not in the H100. Honestly, who's checking all this? Not hard mistakes to pick up on...
