anyone ever notice how this happens a lot, when a good aussie band makes a mad song, get some credit for it, then about a month after, most radio stations dump em??? bloody triple M in brisbane does this all the time, and not only aus bands.
for example :
they used to play deadstars deeper water & run baby run
but after it faded out they stopped.
and sfk, monsters was last played in september, for about a week.
the gurg' used to gte heaps of ariplay on MMM with their songs polyester girl & the other earlier singles...
here they are saying they support aussie bands, yet they never play em! all they do is play AC/CD & cold chisel ( im not saying i dislike em ) when theyre not writing any more songs!
at least triple J supports national bands...
thats my 2 cents for now.

its true . .radio stations do this to get ratings, by playing music which people will always be interested in (ie AC/DC, cold chisel . etc. . ) . .
but the thing i dont like about JJJ is that they over generalise. . they play what is popular alternative .. they dont play all the other really good little bands. . i mean, they have have a metal show. . but they dont have a punk .. now, why is that. . .JJJ wont play hardcore, or certain punk bands. . or other bands of other styles for that matter. . . .
seriously kids. . get into communnity radio (ie 3RRR, 3PBS. .etc. . ) because there always good. . .because of their specialist shows (ie, Jazz shows, punk shows, reggae shows. . etc) they play whats good. .
thats my 3 cents,. . .

good suggestion Reders. jazz isnt that bad actually. y'know that bar music they had in the 20's ? thats pretty cool music hehehe. and the jazz sticks for the kit makes really mad sounds.. 8)

how about fuck it all and just listen to community radio, and ring them up. . and tell them what you wanna hear
or better yet. . do that with JJJ. ..get a whole bunch of people to publicly boycot JJJ until they make their playlists more diverse. . .. that would show them. . i mean, its our taxes that run JJJ and all they do is fuck up .. .

MMM are very..... 'conservative' even Barnsey complained that they always played his and chisels' classics but wouldn't play any of his new stuff. I wouldn't knock JJJ. They're doing a much better job than any of the others. Maybe they can't always play what your idea of good music is, but at least they always play genuine music. They avoid the commercial pop. And they definately do quite a lot to support Aussie music.  I never listen to the radio myself. You're never going to be happy, stick to the cds  |

they sometimes play hip-hop/rap stuff too. i guess you just cant like everything they play. i dont mind it as long as they dont play it too often myself.

I really like triple J. It's diverse compared to other crappy stations. Anyhoo, if you really want something played why not just request it?
