The powderfinger tours over now isn't it? What next for the kate? I know they've got a couple of gigs, but it's pretty quiet apart from that isn't it. Another tour would be cool. Maybe some solo dates I know, I'm a picky bastard

i read in rave that with the 20 years ad, it says 'touring over summer' so they have some gig dates that are unreleased for now

I know it's a while away, but S4K will also be featuring at BIG DAY OUT in Melb (late January)

A solo tour would be great. Touring over summer could just mean BDO, there's about 5 dates in that isn't there? BDOs shit me anyway Plus there's the falls and homebake, and VHQ (ya lucky bums in sydney)

Well I think that Big Day Out will be really good next year - lots of bands I wanna see Magic Dirt, Something For Kate, Garbage, New Order, silverchair, John Bulter Trio.
Although the thought of people crowd surfing to SFK scares me and dickhead non appreciative people. That's the thing with big festivals you get people who aren't fans that ruin it for other people. eg: When I saw PJ Harvey at the BDO earlier this year

I think the BDO lineup is pretty ordinary this year actually. I might still go but I'm going up to Sydney so I can see Homebake which looks heaps better. But if more bands go to BDO I might still go.
My favourite BDO was the Jebediah/Foo Fighters/Chili Peppers/Chemical Brothers one.
Of course I've only been to two... also went to the non-Bizkit one.
My dream BDO will never happen because Pearl Jam don't do festivals anymore since Roskilde but it would have Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Powderfinger, SFK and HEAPS of good Aussie bands.

the first one i went to was pretty awesome overseas bands wise: marilyn manson, hole, fatboy slim, korn, etc. not that i love all those groups, but damn it was a pretty impressive line-up.
